UCD Manager Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the UCD Manager mobile application handles information when you discover, connect to, configure and control compatible UCD and GPS devices.
1. How the application works
UCD Manager communicates directly with compatible hardware through its local Wi-Fi network.
The application does not require a user account. It contains no advertising, analytics SDKs, cloud synchronization or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not automatically send usage information, Wi-Fi scan results, saved passwords, profiles or calendar files to the publisher.
Information is processed locally on your phone and, when needed for the functions you use, transmitted to the device you select.
2. Information used by the application
Depending on the features you use, the application handles:
- Wi-Fi network names, signal information and information needed to identify the connected network.
- Passwords you provide to connect to a device’s Wi-Fi access point.
- Network names and passwords you enter when configuring the hardware’s destination Wi-Fi connection.
- Device identifiers available through network names or device responses.
- Profile names, input and output assignments, action settings and durations.
- Calendar event titles, dates, times and scheduling settings.
- Clock configuration, including mechanism settings, time zone and daylight saving.
- Device status, firmware information, error counters and command responses.
- Application preferences, such as the last active tab.
Profile names and event titles may contain personal information if you choose to enter it. These records are application-specific device schedules; the app does not access your phone’s system calendar.
3. Permissions
On Android, UCD Manager may request nearby Wi-Fi and foreground location permissions to discover devices, scan Wi-Fi networks and identify the connected network. Android may also require location services to be enabled for Wi-Fi scanning.
The application does not request GPS coordinates or background location access.
On iOS, location permission may be requested to identify the current Wi-Fi network. Local-network access is used to communicate with the selected hardware.
The application does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera or phone calendar.
You can manage permissions in your phone’s settings. Refusing or revoking a permission may prevent the corresponding discovery or connection feature from working.
4. Information stored on your phone
UCD Manager can remember device access-point passwords after a successful connection. It also stores profile and calendar drafts associated with the device’s Wi-Fi name, together with application preferences.
On Android, saved device passwords, profiles and calendars use encrypted app-private storage backed by Android Keystore. Other preferences are stored in app-private storage.
On iOS, device passwords and saved profiles use device-only Keychain storage. Calendar drafts use protected application storage, and preferences use the operating system’s application preferences.
Local storage is used to restore settings and drafts when you reconnect or reopen the application. The app does not provide cloud backup or synchronization of these records.
5. Information transmitted to connected hardware
When you configure a device, upload profiles or calendars, request device information or send a control command, the information needed for that operation is transmitted to the selected hardware.
This may include Wi-Fi credentials, configuration values, profile and calendar content, and control commands.
Communication with the hardware uses the firmware’s local HTTP interface, not HTTPS. The application does not provide application-level encryption for these local HTTP transmissions.
Use these functions on a trusted device network.
Information saved to the hardware may remain there after you disconnect or uninstall the application. Its subsequent storage and processing depend on the device’s firmware and configuration. Connected hardware may communicate independently with other services according to its own settings.
6. Sharing and external services
We do not sell information handled by the application or use it for advertising.
The application does not automatically transmit your device configuration, passwords, profiles or calendars to the publisher.
Calendar export uses your phone’s sharing interface. When you choose an application or destination, the selected file is provided to that destination. The receiving application or service controls its subsequent handling.
Google Play, the Apple App Store, your operating system and applications you select for sharing have their own privacy practices and settings.
7. Support communications
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you provide. We use that information to respond to your request and handle related follow-up.
Your email provider and our email provider also process the correspondence under their own privacy practices.
Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary personal information. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, or longer where retention is legally required.
You can request deletion of support correspondence by contacting andrzej.aksenczuk@gmail.com.
8. Retention and deletion
Local application records remain until they are replaced, cleared or removed through the operating system.
On Android, you can remove local records through Settings → Apps → UCD Manager → Storage → Clear storage. Uninstalling the application also removes its local application storage.
On iOS, uninstalling removes the application’s ordinary local files. Keychain records, including saved passwords and profiles, may remain across uninstalling and reinstalling.
Temporary export files may remain in application cache until cleared by the operating system, removed through storage controls or deleted when the app is uninstalled.
Exported files saved in other applications or services must be deleted separately. Clearing application storage or uninstalling UCD Manager does not delete information already saved to connected hardware.
Because local records are stored on your phone rather than on a publisher-operated server, we cannot remotely access or delete them.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
You can manage application permissions, clear local application storage, delete exported files and stop using the application.
No application account needs to be deleted because UCD Manager does not provide a user-account system.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information you provide to us, including access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
For questions or requests, contact andrzej.aksenczuk@gmail.com.
10. Children
UCD Manager is intended for device owners and installers. It is not designed or marketed as a service for children.
11. Scope and changes
This policy covers the UCD Manager mobile application. Connected hardware, external services and the elemik.pl website may have separate privacy practices.
We may update this policy when the application or its handling of information changes. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
