UCD.BELL is a professional bell control module designed for precise and reliable operation of motor-driven bells. UCD.BELL provides advanced control, calibration, and monitoring functions for professional bell installations.
The controller is designed to communicate with the bell through an inductive sensor, allowing it to monitor the movement of the bell and manage the drive process with high precision. During initial setup, the unit can be configured using key operating parameters such as the sensor reference width, the distance between the inductive sensor and the bell rotation axis, the target swing angle, start-up impulse power, sustaining impulse power, braking force, operating time, and safety time limits. These parameters make it possible to adapt the controller to the mechanical characteristics of a specific bell installation.
UCD.BELL also includes a dedicated calibration mode, in which the controller measures and stores the bell operating period. During calibration, the display shows the detected working period and the current swing angle in real time, helping the installer correctly tune the system for stable and repeatable operation. Once calibration is completed, the measured values are saved automatically.
The module supervises bell operation in three main working modes: run-up, hold-up, and braking. Run-up mode is used while the bell is reaching the target swing angle, hold-up mode maintains the required operating movement, and braking mode controls the stopping process. This structured control logic allows the system to manage the full operating cycle of the bell safely and efficiently.
For service and diagnostics, UCD.BELL provides event indication and status reporting directly on the display. The controller can signal recorded events related to start-up, hold-up, braking, and direction correction. The documentation also defines probable causes of these events, such as insufficient motor power, excessive target angle, incorrect impulse settings, or sensor geometry issues, making troubleshooting faster and more transparent for installers and service technicians.
The module is additionally equipped with status LEDs that indicate bell movement direction, sensor activity, and error conditions. According to the documentation, the error LED can indicate conditions such as excessive heatsink temperature or triac short circuit, while the sensor LED shows the sensor reference position and fast blinking during measurement in calibration mode. These functions help ensure safe operation and easier diagnostics on site.
UCD.BELL is an ideal solution for professional bell control applications where dependable motion control, precise setup, diagnostic visibility, and repeatable performance are required.
